- The Indian Guaicaipuro (1530 - 1568) was a chieftain of Venezuela mentioned by the writer José Oviedo y Baños. In his work he is said to have been a native who led several Carib tribes in a struggle for control of the gold mines of Los Teques. There are no historical documents that prove or give evidence that he ever existed.
- Work written in French by Abbé Jean Moulin. Spanish version by Master Juan de Ocampo in 1601. With ecclesiastical censorship.

- The cover is stamped with the Indian Guaicaipuro. Lacks dust jacket.
Conservation and Damage:

- Sewn binding in very good condition.
- The pages are in good condition, with no tears or large stains.
- The book has not suffered from external aggressions such as humidity, insect attacks, rodents, etc.
- The covers and the cuts are well preserved and with little soiling. The side trim has small rust stains, as do the covers.
