Description of contents:
- Encyclopedia of 8 volumes, complete and written in Spanish. Recounts annals of the world, formation, revolutions and wars of all empires, from creation to the present day.
- It includes the following works in their entirety: The famous and invaluable universal history. That of Alexander the Great. Wars of the Jews and the Destruction of Jerusalem. Chronological Tables of the Benedictines themselves.
- In addition, each of the volumes contains a collection of admirable plates depicting memorable events, great men, precious views, costumes, coins, historical maps, plans, flags, etc.
- The author, Fernando Patxot, a Spanish journalist, historian and narrator of Romanticism, also known by his pseudonyms Manuel Ortiz de la Vega and Sor Adela.
- Numerous illustrations, monochrome in black and full colour, all outside the text.

Description of the book:
- Sewn binding of very good execution, with guillotined cuts and painted yellow, from the Second Half of the 19th Century.
- The text in single-colour printing in black, very good ink, well centred and with good margins.
- The engravings in black and full colour, very good ink, with good centred stamping and good margins.
- Book printed on medium thick, good quality, white paper.
- Dark green half leather hard covers, of good quality. No dust jacket.
- Stamping on spine: Heroes and the greatnesses of the earth. 1.
- Spine remarked with two lines and two floral ornaments of gilt irons at the top.
- Flyleaves with blue and green water paper, and of medium thickness.

Conservation and Damage:
- General Condition: Very Good.
- Sewn binding in very good condition.
- Cuts splashed with fine specks of rust, almost inappreciable. But, even so, they are very well preserved and with minimal soiling.
- Some engravings have rust stains (volume V, map) and others have very noticeable mottling of the paper. In general, the engravings are in excellent condition.
- The leaves are in good condition, with no tears or large stains. In some places there are areas of the text with dirt and rust spots.
- The book has not suffered external aggressions such as large damp stains, attacks by insects, rodents, etc.
- The covers are in good condition, both are in good condition.
- The book shows wear and tear typical of it

Comments:
- Both the measurements and the weight are approximate.
- Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element.
- The tones of the colours in the photos are not the same as the tones of the real colours.
