Description:

- In the lower margin is the legend 'Couped'Agate du IX S. conservée á la B.R ale - Agate cup of the 9th century preserved in the Royal Library'.
- The number '174' is printed in the upper right-hand corner, which suggests that the engraving is number 174 of a series.
