Description:
- Engraving Lake Geneva. Lausanne.
- Lake Geneva, also known in English as Lake Geneva, is the largest lake in Western Europe. It is located north of the Alps, between France and Switzerland.
- All titles and signatures are outside the plate. The draughtsman is unknown.
- In the upper margin is the legend 'Lac de Geneve - Lake Geneva - Genfersee'.
- In the lower margin is the legend 'Lausanne - Lausanne - Lausanne'.
- The number '3' is printed in the upper right-hand corner, suggesting that the engraving is number 3 in a series.
- In the lower right corner, the Engraver signs only as Rouargue, so it is by one of the two Rouargue brothers. In our opinion, the author of the engraving plate is most probably Adolphe Rouargue (1810 - 1870).
- Chalcographic etching on steel plate, although another technique could also have been used.
- It is in single-colour black tone, very well inked.
- It is probably an engraving belonging to a book.

Conservation and Damage:
- General condition: Good.
- The engraving is on thin paper of regular quality.
- It is very well inked and has a good stamping.
- The engraving has suffered from humidity, so the paper has damp stains and rust spots, all of which are more pronounced as we approach the edges.
- The engraving is dirty, with the edges being much dirtier, with very small tears, and the tips slightly deteriorated with slight bending.
- A light washing and bleaching would be a very good result.
