Description:

- Raul Sousa Machado, born in 1921, was an officer in the Navy, practised painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving and medals, the latter with a predominance of naval themes. He was part of the team of the Numismatic Programme of coins commemorating the Portuguese discoveries.
